Cancellation, Compliance and No-Show Policy 

At Sloane Stecker Physical Therapy, we maintain a strict cancellation and no-show policy to ensure every patient has the same opportunity to receive the highest quality of care. Please notify our team as early as possible if you cannot attend your appointment.

Why These Policies Matter

When a patient misses an appointment, three people are affected:

  1. You, the patient – for missing necessary treatment.

  2. Your therapist – who now has an unfilled gap in their schedule.

  3. Another patient – who could have used that appointment time.

N​o-shows

  • Failure to attend an appointment without prior notification results in a $45 fee.

First cancellation

  • Fee waived, recognizing that emergencies happen.

Second cancellation (even with 24+ hours’ notice)

  1. If rescheduled within the same week to maintain your prescribed Plan of Care (e.g., 2 visits/week) = no fee.

  2. If not rescheduled as required by your Plan of Care (e.g., reducing to 1 visit/week) = $45 fee.

  3. Late cancellations (under 24 hours’ notice) = $45 fee.

Third cancellation (even with 24+ hours’ notice)

  1. $45 fee applies.

  2. Standing/recurring appointments removed.

  3. Future scheduling limited to same-day or 24-hour notice only.

  4. Possible discharge from our office.

Travel Policy

  • Please notify us as early as possible if you plan to travel.

  • To keep your standing time slot, you must pay $45 per missed session while away.

  • If you choose not to pay, your recurring appointments will be released, and you may be discharged. Future scheduling will depend on availability.

Wellness & Personal Training Clients

  • Missed or canceled sessions will be charged up to 100% of the service fee.

  • Private Pay Packages expire within 30 days of purchase.

  • TECAR Packages expire within 30 days of purchase.
