Coronavirus (COVID-19) Notice

Update 06/09/22

To Our Patients,

Your health and wellness continues to be a priority for us.  Here are some updates on how we are handling the COVID-19 situation.

We are open at all four locations (Lincoln Square, Westchester, Washington D.C., and Palm Beach) as an essential business in Healthcare, but have implemented the following efforts for the safety of our patients and staff:

  1. We have reduced the number of team members in each office every day.  Only essential members will be present.

  2. We have increased the cleaning of all of our equipment and fixtures, and our team will maintain a safe distance from each patient.  We ask that you please do the same.

  3. We are following the advice of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA): “The COVID-19 outbreak changes the factors we must consider in our professional evaluation, but it does not change our basic responsibility to do what is best for our patients. PTs should follow their professional judgement to determine when, where, and how to provide care.”

  4. We will continue to take on new patients both in-person for post-operative care and via Telehealth.

  5. Reminder - If you are not feeling well, experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19, please call our office in advance and do not come in for an appointment. We will reschedule you for a Telehealth appointment.

While you are at home and may have a few minutes of downtime - we appreciate your positive thoughts and reviews of our team and office staff on Google, Facebook and Yelp.

We appreciate your support of Sloane Stecker Physical Therapy as a small business in these trying times. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding and adapting to the current situation.

Update 03/15/20

To Our Patients,

We understand this is a very uncertain time and we want you to know that our team is here to help.

Your health and wellness is a priority and it’s important to us and your physician to continue your treatment routinely. If you don’t feel comfortable visiting our office in person, we greatly appreciate you scheduling a virtual video Telehealth call with your therapist in the place of your weekly in-person visits.

We hope you will support Sloane Stecker Physical Therapy as a small business to keep us operational, as taking the time to do a virtual video Telehealth call will enable us to still bill insurances and Medicare which will in turn allow us to keep paying the salaries of our staff.

It’s super easy and can be scheduled over the phone, you will receive an email confirmation and a reminder before the scheduled time slot. A window will open on your browser (on your computer or phone) and you will be able to see your therapist one-on-one via video conferencing. This is all secure and HIPAA compliant via the BetterPT platform.

We want to encourage you to try this and if you have any questions our team is here to help.

To Our Patients,

With the uprise of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to communicate what we are doing to keep Sloane Stecker Physical Therapy and our patients safe. Specific to the virus, we are following the CDC for updates and directives.

The cleanliness of our offices is of utmost importance to us with or without the threat of a virus. We are taking extra measures for continual wipe down of all surfaces and equipment. We have removed the use of cotton towels, pillows and any other porous materials that harvest bacteria or viruses. All staff have been instructed to wash their hands before and after each treatment and not to come to work if they are feeling ill. Monk disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer are readily available in every office.

If you have traveled outside of the country recently, experienced flu-like symptoms, or have been in contact with anyone potentially ill, we ask that you please reschedule your appointments without incurring a cancellation fee.

Additionally we are incorporating Telehealth for those of you who want to continue your Physical Therapy with us remotely. We encourage you to ask us about this.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.

In Good Health & Wellness,

The Team of Sloane Stecker
